Re: New Coaches

Brad Wilson's step brother is Tom Wilson, highly succesful HC at Iowa power West Des Moines Dowling. He has won multiple state championships and sent many players to Power 5 schools. He also had had several players play at UNI, NIU, USD and Ind State. We should have an inside track on some of the Do...

Re: Welcome to Macomb Coach Davis!!

I asked local sports writer/radio sports guy if he knew Davis. He said Farley didn't want to hire him but was over ruled my then AD Troy Dannen who when to to Tulan and just got the Washington job. I believe Davis was only at UNI one year. Farley goes through coached like water! Word is he is VERY d...

Re: Is the HC's seat starting to get a little warm?

Runner up for Ms Basketball in IL last year as a Jr at LIncoln just committed to Colorado State. Her mother is from Bushnell. Had an ACL injury a year ago or she would have been Power 5 material I was told by a Power 5 Coach.

Re: Spring Sports

I'll  give VB a pass. New coach and at least three ACL injuries for starters. Has five really good recruits coming in. I liked the fact HC invited all five and their families to the last home match affording them to meet each other their families and the team,.

Isn't the BB coach on an interim title?

Re: Candidates for New HC

Was told this afternoon that Chad is meeting with Paul Monday. Lots of Macomb locals have been letting Paul know they support Chad. I would be fine with Chad. I didn't know he spent several years at Indian Hills.  In defense of Matt Woodley somewha ,t he was on Kevin Stallings staff for a couple yea...

Re: Candidates for New HC

Had conflicting reports Chad is going with Rob. 30 minutes later in told he wants the WIU job. Who knows. What negative things have you heard on Woodley?  Decried brought him in a an Asst when Devries got the Drake job. I don't know Matt very well but know his dad and brother very well. Brother Joe ...

Candidates for New HC

Matt Woodley, Iowa native, former HC at Truman and Asst at Drake is very interested in the job. He has been at Wake Forest the past few years as an Asst. He is in the running for the Montana State job also

I believe he got an interview when Coach Jeter was hired.

Re: Is the HC's seat starting to get a little warm?

From what I understand we took a serious look at the OVC last year. I'm not sure if Paul was on board or not but the OVC had schools leaving, Belmont and Murray State went to the MVC and maybe a couple more left, not sure. We decided to wait. From a geographic standpoint it would be a lot of sense. ...

Re: Is the HC's seat starting to get a little warm?

HIs recruiting has really slipped. Look at Scott's figures again. A good friend told me of a referee who does Western Big 6 games and some games in the Quad Cities on both sides of the river who had supplied JD with names of players he has seen in games he has refed. The ref would ask the coach next...

Re: Summit League Tournament

St. Thomas went on a 16-2 run late in the game. We didn't score for over five minutes. As long as Jeter stays I believe the program will improve.
