Re: Women's Tennis

Women's Tennis finished the regular season with an overall record of 2-15. Western was 0-6 in the OVC (last place). Western is the #7 seed in the OVC Tournament.  Western will play #2 SIU-Edwardsville in a first-round match on April 19.  The OVC Tournament will be played in St Louis.     do you thi...

Re: Transfer portal

Shay Davis is transferring.  Did not see a lot of action for us this year averaging 4 points and 9 minutes per game.

Re: Spring Practice

What kind of spring game format does the new coach on the block like to use?  Just wondering if it is worth the 1.5 hour drive down for me.

Re: 2024 Baseball

I pray that we turn this program around... 6-21 this season and in last in the OVC.     The good news is there is still plenty of time to move up in standings this year.  The bad news is we have to get to top 8 to make the tournament.  But that is still a lot better than having to make the top 4 li...

Re: Basketball Posteason Tournaments

Congrats to Matt.  Matt's 6th grade class was an "Observation" class for my Educational :| Psychology course with Dr. Kaspar back in 1979 or so.  We clocked a few hours in there with them.  We had to write a detailed paper on selected students in that class.  Had to go to their school musi...

Re: Transfer Portal

Well, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer via this transfer portal.  I dont know how else you can look at from a low mid-major perspective.   At this level, the smartest thing to do might be to recruit 15 or 20 very quick and athletic ladies who are maybe not so talented in any one particula...

Re: Basketball Posteason Tournaments

Minnesota State won handily against Ferris St advancing to D2 Final Four.  Southern New Hampshire was
eliminated.  Of note for SNH, former Leatherneck big Cody Collinsworth played for SNH this year although did not put up big numbers for them.

Re: Basketball Posteason Tournaments

The Ferris State vs Minnesota State game will be played at the Ford Center in Evansville.   How did MSU get there?  There is excitement at all levels of basketball when the chance to dance again is on the line.  Where he made that last second shot is exactly where I remember Joe Dykstra missing a c...

Interesting to note I think he has a brother playing for Minnesota in the B1G.  Also he went to the same high school as the new QB commit Tanner Zolnosky (East Ridge).
