Re: At Tennessee-Martin

Really like the way the guys hung in there, but am I the only one that thought the officiating was a little dicey? Been a long time since I've seen that many starters with 4 fouls apiece.

Re: vs Lindenwood

So this guy would be happier right now if the men's basketball team was 0-3 in the Summit, then 3-0 in the OVC. I agree with pretty much everything Scott said. Also I have no insider knowledge but I think the reason they didn't move to the OVC earlier was the desire to stay in the MVFC.   I never s...

Re: vs Lindenwood

Sounds like to me the move everyone is excited about the move. I ha e been been following Leatherneck athletics since before I attended (following more than 20 years ago). I can tell you that the OVC does nothing to excite me for football. If you win or finish even in the top 3 in the MVFC you are ...

Didn't he just play for us last year? I looked him up on the '23 roster and it said he was a grad student then, and had a previous college listed. Best of luck to him - I liked the way he played.

Re: 2024 Recruits/Commitments

Oh, good heavens!!!!! Could we at least wait and see how things go before we start acting like all is lost?  So South Dakota had 22 signees - I've been blasted using this example before, but I personally STILL think it plays into recruiting. Find the number of D1 schools in each state - both Dakota...

Re: 2024 Recruits/Commitments

Not sure where to put this, but does anyone know how many players we are losing due to graduation, eligibility running out, and the like? I know the transfer portal will still be pretty fluid, but do we have an actual number of open spots available? Just curious.

Re: Addressing Challenges

WIU getting outside perspective on addressing challenges. From Tri-States Public Radio, WIUM-FM: https://www.tspr.org/tspr-local/2023-12-17/wiu-getting-outside-perspective-on-addressing-challenges        I saw this, and then on Facebook I saw local parents/students complaining that WIU is not recru...

https://footballscoop.com/news/western-illinois-staff-begins-to-take-shape-under-joe-davis so this is interesting.  No disrespect to Coach Krez but I don’t see how he was promoted.  Prior to joining WIU he was a HS Coach (in class 2 😳, so not even a big school) and he’s been been helping run their ...
