Ah, but they can't afford to pay their players the added money other schools can, so they came up with something else. Kudos to taking great advantage of their alums for the benefit of not just football, but likely all their athletic teams, and school spirit.

I'm not sure we want to promote "stealing goats." That begins to resemble hazing. Let's hope our students could come up with a little more amusing, but less potentially damaging means of showing their school spirit, while not hurting any goats or other critters.

Yes, it's disappointing, but then Ashley gave us so much the past 3 years. We, and not just athletics, but WIU as a whole, have to be grateful for that.

While we will miss them, we have to understand that both Ashley and Faith Lois did what was best for them. And yes, both graduated, Ashley in December 2014 and Faith in May 2015.
