Basketball Posteason Tournaments

Already been mentioned a few other places, but here's where teams in our region and/or "teams of interest" are playing in DI postseason tournaments this week. After games are finished, I will bold the teams who won. Men's NCAA Tournament 3/21 at 2:10 PM - #3 Illinois vs #14 Morehead State,...

Re: FCS Conference Shuffling

UTRGV is moving from the WAC to the Southland. They have been a member of the WAC since 2013 and are in the process of starting up a FCS football team, projected to start playing in 2025.

Re: 2023-2024 season

The next two weeks are huge with the head coaching and assistant coaching  carousels at larger schools.  Let’s hope that we can keep coach Boudreau as our HC.    I don't think Boudreau would leave he wanted this job pretty bad, since he was a local, but you never know, if anything, maybe leave for ...

Re: 2024 OVC Tournament

During the championship game telecast, video was shown of some pep bands playing for their team at their hotel. Did the Western Pep Band do that ???   We did not. We did wait for the team outside the arena after Thursday night's win and cheered for them as they came out to the busses. I don't know ...

Damn...that's really impressive, but I'm glad we didn't have to play in front of 7k+ opposing fans.

Re: 2024 OVC Tournament

Damn good game between Morehead St and UTM.  But UTM has no cheer team or band.  What's the deal?  Are they only permitted to work one session per day? Lots of teams didn’t send their band. We were there. Little Rock and TN Tech sent theirs, but I don’t remember seeing any others. Sent from my iPho...

ESPN has Little Rock with a 5-point advantage. Massey has UALR by 2 points, 72-70: https://masseyratings.com/game.php?gid=940268841 And here’s what happened last time we faced off: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240308/02ad61c4b02620759eaa16de856f250d.jpg Literally just the difference of a few f...

I feel like Tennessee State would just win that every year.

Re: 2024 OVC Tournament

Attendance for the afternoon session = 464. Seems like the Evansville community does not turn out as well as the Sioux Falls community does for the Summit League tournament. I saw the Western Pep Band, Cheerleaders, and Rocky during the ESPN + telecast.  Were the Pom Squad / Dance Team and Golden M...
