As bad as that is, what is even worse IMHO is that there is only one (yes one) player from the Land Of Lincoln on their roster. Dont they play HS soccer in Chicago land? New coach in place, maybe he can turn it around but some serious work to do.
I don't understand why they stay D1 when was the last time any of there teams were relevant.
Well their volleyball team beat ours and actually I think their Volleyball team has a winning record or at least they did.

Chicago State volleyball is currently 9-6.

Western and Chicago State have met twice this season:
August 26 in Macomb. Western won 3-0.
September 8 at the EIU Tournament in Charleston. Chicago State won 3-1.

Men are in "solid second place" with a match against #1 Denver on the horizon. Should be number two seed for sure at this point. Women are done. I think the foundation is in place for "big time improvement" next year. ;) jc

Women's Soccer finished the season with a 2-15 overall record.

The Women were 1-6 in the Summit League, finishing in 7th place (out of eight).

Soccer will play Denver at home this weekend for a piece of the Summit League regular season championship and the #1 seed into the tournament which would mean hosting the tournament next year. Seems like it took the men a bit of time to get going but they have definitely hit their stride at this point.

Also, I like the way our "pitch" looks on ESPN with the purple press box and purple supported "team shelters!" Very classy indeed. Scoreboard looks fresh/new too! Anyone attended any matches and has some observations or comments regarding our "playing field" also known as our "pitch!" ;) jc

The field continues to have a problem with drainage. Several matches had to be moved to the "Northwest Field".
