We were down 5-4 in bottom 9. Tying runner gets on first base via BB with no outs. Conventional wisdom says play for the tie at home, win on the road. Ryan does not go with sac bunt to move runner to 2nd. Was he being kind to the Bison who probably wanted to get back to the hotel and watch some hoops? Things still got interesting in that inning but no cigar on this afternoon.

Bison take game 1 5-4.
Embrace the pace of the race.

Western jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. But that was the end of the Western scoring.

North Dakota State scored both the tying run and the go-ahead run in the 6th inning on a dropped infield pop-up that landed only a few feet in front of the plate. The Official Scorer called it a single instead of an error.

Attendance at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium = 135.

Due to forecasted rain in the area for Sunday, the teams will now play a Saturday doubleheader. Game one will start at 12 Noon. Game one will air on ESPN3.
