Baseball vs South Dakota State

Western baseball continues its seven-game homestand this weekend playing host to South Dakota State.

Due to possible inclement weather in the area, Saturday's schedule will now be a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. with no game on Sunday.

Friday remains a 3 p.m. first pitch. Friday's game will be on WIUS (88.3 FM).

Western won Friday's game 3-2.

Saturday's double-header will start at 11AM.

Ran past the stadium a couple of times today while I was out on my run. Once near the end of the first game (that Western lost) and once about 3 innings into the 2-0 shutout of SDSU. Western wins the series 2 games to 1. They're now 4-2 overall in conference and have won series against NDSU and SDSU.

The teams split Saturday's double-header. South Dakota State won the first game 11-3. Western won the second game 2-0.

Weather: 55 degrees, overcast.

Attendance = 167.

Western's next game will be a home game on Tuesday (March 29) vs UIS.
