Still 2021, so this thread still counts.

The women's soccer team beat Illinois State 4-3 in OT. Amy Andrews (senior forward from Birmingham, England) tied the program record for most goals in a game with all 4 scores.

Not sure how good Illinois St is or supposed to be, but seems like a good win to start the season. Hopefully a good season for the soccer teams this fall.

Good start. Our roster has gals from all across this country, Canada, Europe, and South America. Maybe that's what it takes to win in this day and age.
Embrace the pace of the race.

Add another win on the soccer ladies record, once again in overtime. Really positive point was the fact that 4 different players scored! UIC is next for the these "hot" ladies!!! ;) jc

fyi - A turn around season begins by winning the close ones you have lost in the past and then winning a couple of more in the conference with their "renewed optimism!"

Since the last update (Illinois State game on 8/26), the women's soccer team has won 4 straight matches: at Northern Iowa, at UIC, at Valparaiso, and then here at home against IUPUI yesterday. They are now 5-2 overall against 3 MVC teams, 3 Horizon league teams, and 1 Big 10 team. Their next matches are this Friday (17th) hosting Eastern Michigan, and then Sunday (19th) at Drake before moving on to Summit League play.

And, the previously mentioned goal-scoring-machine, Amy Andrews, has picked up a Summit League Player of the Week award.

The women's soccer unbeaten streak ended on Friday at SDSU, when the Leathernecks fell 0-2. They were able to bounce back and win at South Dakota on Sunday 2-1. They are now 7-3-1 overall and 1-1-0 in the conference and will host Omaha on Friday at 3 PM and Denver on Sunday at 1 PM.

After last update, the women's soccer team had a bit of a rough stretch. They beat South Dakota 2-1, but then lost 3 straight against Omaha (2-1), Denver (2-0), and Summit League newcomer St. Thomas (1-0). They then bounced back, beating KC 1-0, then Oral Roberts 2-1, both on the road this last weekend.
They are currently 9-6-1 overall, 3-4-0 in the Summit League and are sitting right around the middle of the conference in the standings.

They finish up the regular season at home against NDSU this Friday, then UND on Sunday.
