Well, looks like this disappointing season was the end of April Hall's tenure at WIU.

Coach April Hall was at Western for 3 years:
2012: 11-17 (4-12 in the Summit)
2013: 12-18 (6-8 in the Summit)
2014: 6-23 (4-12 in the Summit)

The current roster for 2015 is only showing 5 players:

Today's McDonough County Voice (newspaper) has an ad for this position in the "Classified" section.

I totally missed these posts and any news on WIU needing a new volleyball coach and I see today that a new Volleyball coach was hired. So was April fired or did she step down? Seems very quiet how this all went down. For some reason just can't seem to get the volleyball program going at WIU. Hopefully the new coach will have the magic touch.

Yes, this was all very oddly quiet. Letting April Hall go was the right decision but I don't understand why Tommy Bell never formally announced a change was being made. Poor communication on his part. Good luck to Coach Richardson as she tries to build this program!

The new Volleyball coach was introduced to the crowd during one of the time-outs tonight.

Didn't realize the volleyball team only has 2 returning players from last year.

While waiting for some football today, thought I would check out the VB game last night on the All-Access. Looked like good crowd support to start match. However, the video feed replay stops just after start of 4th set when things seemed to go south for us in the match. Is that by design or did I hit some threshold limit? The whole video was close to 2 hours before coming to that abrupt halt. About 30 minutes of it was pre-game broadcasting testing, warmups, and other gobbledygook that could easily be edited away before publishing the final product. Yea, I know, it would take some human being to do that intelligent editing and it was a Friday night and they probably had better things to do but we can do much, much better than this. One thing I wanted to look for is if the crowd dwindled away for those last two sets. If that was indeed the case, we can do better there too. Ok, enough rant for Homecoming. Now lets kick some SIDAWG butt!

Saw where today's volleyball game with SEMO was postponed. It was a home game. I have heard that WIU has players who are ill. Has to be more to the story.
