Probably a better thread for this, but Biola is where former men's hooper Kaimarr Price went when he left Coach Mo's program. Kaimarr went on to play professionally in Europe. He is a frequent poster on PrepHoops.

Western will be at the Iowa Tournament next weekend and will play Iowa, Oakland, and Butler.

I think this will be the first time using the new seating in Western Hall. I wish I wasn't so busy this evening, I'd take my daughter (she likes volleyball) and we could check out the new seats.

Eastern Illinois won the match 3-1. Western is now 0-7.

Attendance at Western Hall = 242.

Western Volleyball will be at the Missouri State Invitational on Friday and Saturday playing UW-Green Bay, McNeese State, and Missouri State.

Well looks like volleyball won't be very good this year either. Hopefully they get things figured out in time for conference play.

So slightly off topic. I was thinking that the elevated platform that hangs from the roof supersturcture on the north end center court that is connected by catwalks could quite possibly be an ideal place to set up the tripod for the camera to take in volleyball and mens and womans hoops. I actually don't think the angle is too severe. this solves the problem of setting up a tripod right in the line of sight of people that have paid for their tickets.

I hope somebody tests this angle, if it is deemed not acceptable then we move on. No harm in trying new things.?

Also, does anyone else feel that the end court seating should be wider than what it currently is?

I was thinking the same thing. I was at the volleyball game on Tuesday night and thought that there was more room behind the baskets for additional seating.

Finding another place for the TV cameras would be ideal. For basketball games there could be 3-4 cameras set up in front of the north balcony seats. That's not good for people sitting behind them.

Moving the cameras up to the top row of the north balcony is an option. But then the support poles would be in the picture.

I also noticed that we have 3 different shades of Purple seats:
South Balcony is dark Purple.
Main floor and North Balcony are medium (plum) Purple.
Behind-the-basket is a very pale Purple.

712, that reminds me of a joke:

What's the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut?
About 2 weeks.

Maybe a little longer than that for man-made petro-based products not exposed to sunlight.
My suggestion is to always keep some butts in them. Nobody will notice.
