Bigger player than his listed height as leader for Washington team that had a 19-game win streak, was No. 6 in the final 3A state ranks, won the Mid-Illini (13-1) and finished 25-4 after an upset loss to Notre Dame in a regional semifinal. He led Washington in scoring (17.4), assists (3.7) and steals (1.8), on field goals shot .461 (176-for-382), on free throws shot .782 (79-for-101) and on 3s shot .410 (75-183).
HIGHLIGHTS: Scored career-high 30 in loss at Metamora; buzzer-beating basket in win over Alton
CAREER: Two-year starter and third-year varsity player will enter his senior season with 999 points.
BASKETBALL HONORS: All-state 3A/4A third team IBCA; two-time winner of Mr. Hustle award at Pekin tournament.
WHAT’S AHEAD: Unofficial visit to Western Illinois; plenty of interest from Division II and III schools.
