I figured this would be the result of Vikings trading for a center with the giants.

Judging by the Cowboy's O-line, they could definitely use the likes of Judd!

Maybe they (or someone else) will pick him up for their practice squad and give him another shot. Judd is a really smart kid and I'm sure he'll be successful at whatever he decides to do outside of football, but I'd really like to see him get on the field for a team, at least for a season or two.

I see Jacob Judd has been signed by the Arizona Hotshots in the Alliance of American Football (AAF) league for the inaugural 2019 season which begins play in February. The only other Center listed is another Jacob from South Dakota State. They play their home games at SunDevil Stadium in Tempe where Charlie Fisher hangs out. Small world. ;)

I've been kinda paying attention to this for a while now. the AAF has an interesting thing where every player's contract has an "NFL clause". As in...if the player gets an offer from an NFL team, they can "jump ship" right away...something you can't do in most other "pro" leagues. Might make the AAF a better option for players who think they have a shot at the NFL eventually.

Judd had been cut by the Hotshots before the start of the regular season last weekend (teams needed to be down to 52 players at the end of training camp), however, due to a handful of injuries, the Hotshots have signed two O-linemen including Jacob Judd.

I don't know if we'll see him on the field, but their next game is this Saturday at 7 PM at the Memphis Express and is supposed to be airing on the NFL network. Last weekend, the games also streamed on the AAF website, so if they do that again, you can check those out here this weekend: https://aaf.com/
I watched some of last weekend's AAF games and they're pretty entertaining. Kinda feels like you're watching an NFL preseason game 3 or 4...pretty good football...defenses currently ahead of the offenses (so mostly low scoring games), not quite full NFL-level talent, but still pretty fun to watch if you like football.
