Savannah State dropping to DII

If you want to talk about Monmouth University Football, Quincy University Basketball, Notre Dame Men's Soccer, or whatever, this is the place.

BUT they did have a hoops win over us way back in 2012. It was a true Mo-style barn-burner ending in final score of 39-38. I was in Florida at the time and damn near drove up there for that game. Instead, I listened to it while watching the UCF Women's Thanksgiving Tournament (really good hot dogs as I recall). We got some revenge about a month later in Macomb in another defensive battle (39-35) and went on to a 13-3 conference record, good enough for a share of the regular season crown. Ahh, the good ol' days. ;)

Maybe its just me, but I will forever believe that Western's best moments in men's hoops have been at the DII level.
Embrace the pace of the race.

Finances is the biggest factor behind this move.

Savannah State's enrollment is 4,645.
