HERO Sports FCS Preseason Poll is out
https://valley-football.org/news/2020/5 ... -poll.aspx

5 MVFC teams are ranked (not surprising), but MVFC teams are in the top 3 spots (that's surprising).

1. NDSU
2. SDSU
3. UNI
also...
12. Illinois State
22. Southern Illinois

EDIT - aw, you just beat me to it

Because of the MVFC cancelling the season, teams are seeing a larger than usual number of players entering the transfer portal.
For example, UNI is losing 3 all-conference players (so far): https://www.inforum.com/bison-media-zon ... -postponed
And there's Bison fans speculating that they've already seen the last of QB Trey Lance in a NDSU uniform.

Thing is, it looks quite likely that all of college football will be cancelled this fall, so I'm not sure what the point of transferring to another school that also isn't going to play football would be.

Like I said...
Looks like SDSU is losing star WR Cade Johnson. Johnson will be a senior after having put in 3 years for the Jackrabbits, last year garnering a second-team All-American selection and first-team All-Conference. He led the team in receiving with 1222 yards (94 ypg) and 8 TDs last year.

And the players finally seem to be realizing it too...

Not really off-season anymore, but I think it fits into this thread.

NDSU QB Trey Lance has declared himself eligible for the 2021 NFL draft. It looks like last weekend was his last game in a NDSU uniform.

Former UNI DB Xavior Williams will play his last season just down the road at Iowa:
