This is the second time this year the cards game has been live on FB and I can say it sucks wondering if anyone else has watched any games on FB and if you like it.

I gave up my MLB.Tv subscription this year. Don't miss it yet. Golf is the only sport that I will religiously watch anymore and then is is only the four majors. In my lifetime, the most exciting sporting event I have witnessed in-person or on TV is Jack Nicklaus' charge to win the 1986 Masters at age of 46. FYI, I hate to play golf and have not touched a club in 30 years.

I do the audio-only MLB subscription ($20/month). I love the Cubs radio announcers, plus where I live, I'm in the blackout area for TV, so I wouldn't be able to watch them with that anyway. We're also in the blackout area for the Cards, White Sox, and Brewers.

Holy Cow. I had no idea the blackout areas were that extensive. I think that just goes to show how worried the owners are about declining attendance.

The Cardinals have kept their games on Fox Sports Midwest.

But over the recent years, both the Cubs and White Sox have broken their TV games into smaller packages with only some games being on NBC Sports-Chicago. The rest are on a variety of TV stations (including WGN) that are not available to a lot of people.

I'm not sure who decides blackout areas, but personally I think they're kinda dumb, at least this far out. I can understand for people who live close enough that they could decide to just up and go to a game on a whim...maybe people who live within an hour's drive or could take the Metra and/or CTA in to the city and to the stadium, but I highly doubt someone from Macomb is going to just decide to go to a game that day.

Agreed, unless they are playing the Cubs!
