They should do pretty well this weekend. Wouldn't be shocked to see them go 4-1!

Women dropped an extra inning affair to Green Bay in Savannah Rodriquez pitching debut. Seems like we finally have the pitching staff we need to really compete. In the second game which was a 8-4 with against IUPUI Megan Henson hit a towering shot that hit the roof for a 3 run home run. 3-1 after 2 days worth of completion is a very good way to begin the softball season. Last time WIU had this good of start they were 4-0 back in 2014 also held in the Rosemont Dome. At that point it was named the Rosemont Rumble. UMKC tomorrow. 4-1 would be a great start to say the least;) jc

UMKC won Sunday's game 9-1. UMKC scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning which ended the game.

Western Softball went 3-2 in the opening weekend.

Western Softball will play a 3-game series at Western Kentucky next weekend (Feb 16-17).

I hope some of these games will be on ESPN3 or +. I really enjoy watching College softball. The games can be very exciting. Would love to see Western become a power program, at least in their conference. Seems like we have very talented young players!

Scott, can we give the girls their own forum? Not sure what that entails, but let’s get some buzz going about this team!
