Is "nixed" the PC way to say "axed"? Somebody should have started a GoFundMe for at least a good cover band. Still some time.

So, anyone know a semi-local cover band?

I know of a few bands, but I don't know what they'd charge for it.

Also, it is disappointing, but considering that the cost of one of those is roughly equal (or more) than a full year's salary for a large number of the people who were layed off...it's probably a smart idea to skip it this year.

I agree with those costs being too much, but it seems like they could have come up with a less expensive contingency plan. Just for grins and giggles I looked under "gigmasters" and there are several listed out of the Chicago area that "specialize" in 70's and 80's. "Sojourn Rocs" looked interesting, but see they list their fees from around $500 to $7500. Sorry to say I can't front all the cash myself.
