Long Veterans Day weekend of sports action on the campus starting today. No excuse for not being there for some or all of it. I think we may have missed a golden opportunity here by not sponsoring a "Campus Campout" north of Hanson Field. Setup a big burn pit, let people pitch some tents and bring sleeping bags and coolers, have plenty of weenies, marshmallows, and hot chocolate available. The Peach Blossoms and ROTC troops lead an organized "cavalry charge" from the campsite to Western Hall and Hanson Field for the sports action. Maybe President Thomas could lead an outdoor religious service on Sunday AM. As an old alumnus, I would definitely fly in for this kind of thing. As a student, I probably would not be much good come Monday though.
