If you haven't re-upped for your Leatherneck Club donation yet this year, today's a great day to do it:

Given the current state of affairs, I went the "non-specific/area of greatest need" route. I trust the administrators to "do the right thing".

Great job by everyone who participated and donated. I'm sure the final numbers will be posted soon, but they hit 1000 donors just before 10 PM (so, there's still ~2 hours left if anyone still wants to donate, sign up for the Leatherneck Club, or whatever).
Currently sitting at 1,017 total donors and $129,886 donated (an average of $127.71 per donation).

I missed this yesterday, but a great idea from Coach JD:

Instead of just doing a regular matching pledge of whatever amount, you get the students involved, get them into the habit of donating, and introduce more future alumni to the Leatherneck Club. The money still ends up going to the same place, but could help lead to more donations from others in the future.

Three great videos to celebrate Purple and Gold Day. Each video runs 2 minutes or less. So they are short. But they are full of a lot of historic photos.

And Western's response to Trump's proposed travel ban:

In 1990, about 1 in 5 alumni in this country gave back to their alma mater. Today, the donor rate is down to 1 in 10. Private liberal arts colleges are having slightly more success with donor rates currently at about 20%. :(
