Well I am excited and have been since we beat ISUred! Seems like the team has gained a whole lot of "mo" in the last couple of weeks. I like this team and I like the men on this team. I think the coaching staff is class too. My wife and I traveled with the team to Coastal and the Necks were absolutely "great young men!" I would rather stay away from the 8th seed basically because the road leads to JMU. Lets just see what happens! ;) jc

I believe we get the 8th seed or we go to possibly samford in the 1st round with a possible match up with a southland team in the 2nd round.

Ok, I'm new to the FCS level, but how is it possible the WIU has to go on the road in the first round?! Thats BS

Teams bid on 1st rd games so basically if we didn't get a bye we were going on the road.

I could be wrong, but I believe it's a result of the bid process. Weber State bid high enough to host the home game.

Yea, if we didn't get the #8 seed, we were almost assuredly going on the road. We can't compete financially with most other FCS schools in the bid process.

It sucks, but that's what it is. I do think we have a fairly favorable matchup though.

I think that's one reason people were hoping for us to be seeded. We'd have had a bye week, and our first game would then have been at Hanson Field. You win some, you lose some. I think the players would tell you they're happy to be able to continue in the post season, regardless of where it is; so my thoughts that it kinda stinks not to have the game here doesn't really matter for much. :)
