Well, Thomas pulled out at Boise State, lost out at Tuskegee, and has now withdrawn at UMass-Boston.

The search for a chancellor at UMass Boston came to an abrupt end on Monday when all three finalists withdrew, four days after the faculty at the Dorchester campus called the candidates unqualified for the job.
UMass President Martin T. Meehan reported the end of the search in a statement sent to the UMass community on Monday. In the statement, Meehan wrote that he was “mortified” when the candidates were criticized by faculty and others at the Columbia Point campus.
