Thought I'd share this link. you can download the report for free as I don't see a way to attach it. But even the link directly give a lot of insight to the needed change in higher ed. With a new President, etc., now might be the time to lead the way instead of following the herd.

You have to fill out the form and then download the report.
The basic point is that we cannot continue to recruit and treat students the same way. We have to be able to compete for them and that requires understanding what they want.
From another article, e.g., "83 percent of students believe a campus’s physical environment is more important than a university’s reputation."

So, we make college an extension of high school with "after school" clubs, basic living as an adult courses, and organized entertainment?

And maybe the first two years will be free. Sounds like a commune.
