The original plans for the PAC will put it between Corbin and Browne Hall. That would form a Fine Arts Complex in conjunction with the nearby Recital Hall in Simpkins. There would be a multi-level parking garage across the street.

Locating the PAC north of Hanson Field would allow it to utilize Q-Lot for parking. But the long-range Master Plan shows that area to be the site of a new 6,000-seat arena.

I know the seating and acoustics is different, but Blessing is building an 80k sqft new medical building in Quincy for $26M while the PAC plan is for a 130k sqft building for $89M. Less than 2X the size but more than 3x the cost. Man, them must be some mighty posh furnishings :o

PAC (older, I believe a bit smaller now but price above is from 2018)

Peoria seats 2,200 at PCCA
Normal/Bloomington seats over 3,000 in (Braden Auditorium)
Decatur Kirkland Center seats 2,000
Springfield Sangamon Theater seats 2,000
University of Illinois has the Kranert Center.....2,000 and so much more.,

So, Unless there is something that I'm missing Central Illinois is covered.

I am unaware of any comparable venue in Western Illinois. A venue that is sourly needed to spur growth.

I'm worried that if all the jobs go away, Scott wont be able to keep our board alive.

Rauner was in town to bless the 20 year in the making only haveway done bypass.

Just let that sink in. Western Illinois will and forever will be F**ked. Like I mean forever, as in always. Because

all the constituents are too daft or too nice to do anything about it.

So you are for the $89 million dollar PAC, and your reference to Central IL being covered is about Illinois State's project? Or do just mean WIU being neglected in General? Because yes, I think we are all agree about the latter.

This...my caffeine hasn't even taken full effect yet...I still feel asleep.

Angry about WIU not receiving the funding that I feel it should have over the last...idk....decades? Yes, I am, but I'm also tired, and outside of complaining to our lawmakers (which I've done) and supporting/voting for candidates that will fight for our region (which I also do...every election)...I'm not sure what else I can do.
