Welp, at least the Football Necks can take comfort with all of the other student athletes in all the other WIU sports.

WIU doesn't have any winners in any sports. They can all commiserate together. No need to feel upset apathy and numbness has set in (at least for me).

I love the QB draw but when it becomes your bread and butter, you got serious problems.

As a techie, I wonder if the video board could have been used as a backup scoreboard and clock given the right software, etc. was installed.

Probably can be, but would take some setup to do. Wouldn't be able to on short notice.

My two cents on our troubles during this season are this: I do not sense any cohesiveness between offense and defense. They do not have each other's back. Playing as two separate units which they are but if things are working right, they should be able to feed off of each other.

Northern Iowa wins the game 30-23.

Western had 333 total yards (237 passing and 96 rushing).

Sean McGuire completed 25-of-42 passes for 237 yards and matched a career-high of three touchdown passes. He also led the team in rushing with a career-best 48 yards on 15 attempts.

Attendance at Hanson Field = 3,412.
