As his father, I may be considered biased, but Elijah is a great kid. First, Elijah is very excited to be a Leatherneck! The Leathernecks are getting a kid who loves the process and the grind. He shows up early and is ready to get work for all his commitments. He has earned athletic letters in three sports, Football, Basketball, and Tennis. As a Freshman he will bring 50 earned college credits while earning a 3.6 GPA to WIU. Which means he was looking for a Graduate program which fit his needs so he has set his goal to have a Masters before he finishes at WIU. He serves in his community and many service projects as a well as with his church where he is a member of the Student Action Leadership Team and Teens in Ministry Team helping as a confirmation guide for small groups. I look forward to meeting some of you at the Spring Game this month. If you have any questions about Elijah, i can answer them.

Yes, we will coming down for the Spring Game! Still up in the air if my wife will be able to make trip as she will be in the 9th chemo treatment of 12 for her Stage IV cancer, but we are still hoping she is strong enough. Elijah is really itching to get to WIU, his senior slide is happening as his class schedule is M,W,F 2-3pm golf to complete his HS requirements ending on 5-15-18.

We recently extended offers for 2018 to a couple of WRs at Butler CC in El Dorado, KS. I'm not quite sure what the motivation is for that, because both guys have already said they're committed to UAB for this coming season, but I'm sure the coaching staff has their reasons. Maybe they think they might be able to flip one or both. One also had an offer from Texas Tech and the other had ones from Troy and Eastern Michigan. Their info is listed in the football offers spreadsheet under 2018.

Should, yes. Had 1 RS year and 1 eligible year (even though he didn't play), so 3 years he can play. Transferring FBS->FCS doesn't require a sit-out year.
