Western was in the Corn Bowl in 1949, 1953, 1955. Your Reddit page is showing different dates.

Should our Mid-Con co-championship in 1981 be included in your "D1 Era Conference Championships" ??
1949 was a very good year and the focus of our next Throwback Thursday Trivia contest. I learned a few things doing research for it. I know you are all on the edge of your LazyBoys waiting for it. ;)

Hanson Field opened in 1950. So 1949 would have been the last year at the old football field which was located behind Sherman Hall.

Fixed. For some reason the wikipedia page for the Corn Bowl lists a game in 1956: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corn_Bowl although our own record book doesn't list that as a game that year. I'm going to go with what our own records say on this though, especially because one of the linked articles from the Wikipedia page lists 1955 as the last year of the Corn Bowl.

Actually, going to go ahead and fix wikipedia on this one....done.

Our records book lists us as finishing 2nd in 1981. Did you see something listed as being co-champs in 1981 somewhere?

I was going by this web page which lists us as "Conference co-champions" with Eastern Illinois and Northern Iowa. There were only 4 teams in the conference in 1981. And three teams finished with 2-1 records and are listed as co-champions. Southwest Missouri State finished fourth (last) with an 0-3 record.

This is really cool! Do you happen to know if there is a similar reddit for basketball?

Looks like there is. Here's some info about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/CollegeBasketb ... ia_project and here's the list of teams: https://www.reddit.com/r/CollegeBasketb ... cyclopedia

Doesn't look like there's one for Western yet (or any of the Summit League teams), so I'm sure they'd appreciate any contributions you'd like to make to the Encyclopedia Project.

As for football, here's the listing of all the teams for that if you're interested (as well as some other interesting informational links): https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/wiki/teamguide
