Normally I’d give the stats for guys who are returning from last year, but the O-Line guys don’t really have “stats” in the traditional sense. Obviously they make a huge difference in the offensive side of the game, and last year’s O-Line gave RB Steve McShane space to run for over 900 yards and gave enough time for QB Sean McGuire to throw for 2,914 yards (the 5th best season performance in Leatherneck history), 264.91 yards per game (the most in school history), and 20 TDs (tied for #9 in school history).

Players who are not returning from last year are:
Andrew Nichols, Matt Zobrist, and Nick Ziegenbein

I’ve posted this link before, but there’s a guy who puts together numbers for returning players (in % of playing time or stats, depending on the position) for every team: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
According to his numbers, we lost 24% of the O-Line playing time from last year. We also have enough players to start all seniors on the O-Line if we wanted to, highlighted by All-Conference and Second Team Preseason All-American Jacob Judd. Added to the line this year is senior transfer Lucas Holder, who was a 4-year member of the Liberty Flames football program, earning a Second Team All-Big South award last year.
Of course, there’s also a large group of talented younger guys as well, and I’m sure that the coaching staff will try to get some of them in and get them experienced as much as possible, since they will be taking over next year.
