Was going to hang out with some UNI friends of mine, but it's too chilly outside. Only about 80 minutes early.

And the score doesn't tell the whole story. Nail biter to the end.

That celebration takes me back to my Junior High days when we won the Little 4 conference football title in Alexis. A bunch of us bought some bottled soda just in case we won. After the game in the shower, we shook up the bottles up and let them spray everywhere. The coaches were not happy to say the least. We giot a safety lecture about what might have happened if the bottles broke and everyone was in bare feet walking around on broken glass. We were young and dumb, that is all can say. ;)
Embrace the pace of the race.

I love this...

Look at this screenshot...look at the score, the time left, the position on the field, the down situation...do some quick math in your head about what are possible options with the score.

And now realize that Western won the game 38-29.

Never a dull moment in Leatherneck country!!! I was a good husband this week after being totally immersed in Leatherneck football for two weeks straight. Mass at 4:00, could not wait to look at score on my phone. Chili's for dinner and Cub game. Kept track of game throughout. And finally home in front of the downstairs television with my wife watching Cubs upstairs. It reminded me of an Arena Football League game. Great win! ;) jc

Congrats on your win. Impressive.

I didn't know for sure how your team would respond after last week, but they responded like champions. Great win
