Colton Folliard - 6' 3" 235lb LB from McHenry, IL. Originally went to DII Concordia-St. Paul, went back "home" and played this last season as a freshman at College of DuPage where he had 52 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 INT, 1 forced fumble.

His cousin Sean was a pretty good LB at NIU that I believe we offered out of high school.

At this point, I've got 8 listed that have said they're signing here (a few are transfers). There's a couple of others on the list that seem to be pretty high on WIU, but haven't said anything for sure yet. And nothing is official until they get their NLI's in. So, I'd guess 8-10, but it could be a couple more.

Although the raw numbers don't really matter too much...we have spots we need to fill in specific areas, so they're just trying to fill those spots with quality kids who will work hard and do well here.

I'd rather have 8 guys with no other DI offers who are going to show up, work hard, put in the effort on the field and in the classroom, than have 16 guys who have a bunch of offers but think they can just coast through college without trying that much.

I went on his twitter to read his statement about his commitment to WIU. Man, it’s a sad affair that seems this young man has dealt with some trying times at such a young age.
