Timothy Smith - 4 tackles

My View
We've got a pretty solid group of experienced players at the DB position, starting with Fitzpatrick, who was second-team All-MVFC last season and is on the first-team All-MVFC preseason team. Fellow senior Xavier Rowe, Junior Eric Carrera, and Junior Mike Viti all had significant playing time last season as well. Adding to the mix is Zach Muniz, a senior grad-transfer from Duke. Junior Demetri Royer transferred from Charleston Southern during the offseason and had 77 tackles in 9 games for CSU last year, although we're still not quite sure of his status (listed as Redshirt Junior on our roster) and if he is allowed to play this season or if he has to sit a year (my guess is that he has to sit a year). Outside of those guys, we have a JUCU transfer in Daymon Murray (from Snow Junior College) and a talented group of redshirt freshmen that are available to play this year headlined by Minnesota standout Isaiah Cherrier. Junior Darron Wheeler was a WR last year, but has moved to DB this year, so I'm sure he'll compete for starting time as well.

We look to have some good depth, experience and up and coming potential. If our pressure on the QB is as good as I'm expecting, this unit should do really well.

Anyone know if Fontez "tez" Davis is still around? Noticed he like Kelton Edwards from the OL is no longer listed on the roster. Edwards is still showing in the wiu directory. Thought he had a chance to start at guard.

As for as Royer goes, looks like he'll have to sit. Directory shows a Joseph D Royer that I'd guess would be him and showing General Studies, so not a grad transfer and not referencing to him on the roster as grad transfer.

Assuming Rowe and Fitz lock down 2 spots, but should be very competitive and exciting to see how the 2 deep starts the season.
