Based upon what I saw with both teams last outings. Illinois is not a World beater, but they were better than the surprisingly competitive 85 scholarship KSU Flashes.

My guess is WIU suffers a loss by 17.

WIU ain't winning this one.

I hope that Western can score some points this year.

September 8, 2007: UIUC beat Western 21-0.

September 12, 2015: UIUC beat Western 44-0.

What I'd like to see: 27-24 'Necks
Hoping for something around: 30-17 Illini (my previous projection factored a win vs MSU and a weak IL team. I watched the U of I game and they looked MUCH better in the second half.) I think we will be ready to play and will be hungry after a loss.

Do JD and Seth know much about football? Maybe we should ask them how to beat the Illini on their home turf :)

I don't know how this game is gonna go either way, but I just read that Dudek is out for the season again. He apparently left with a limp after getting tackled in the open field last week. Hopefully he's ok, but I'm glad our secondary doesn't have to worry about him.

Dudek suffered a season and career ending knee injury. This was the third year in a row he suffered a season ending knee injury. Can't imagine how the young man must feel. Wouldn't wish this on any player! Well...if it was an Iowa Sqawkeye I wouldn't feel too bad!
