Fling out the Purple and the Gold, We're Marching On.

I would think some coaches would need to hired soon, if they haven't already with spring practice getting ready to start.
Blackmon’s résumé is unique. He is a Fullerton, California, native who played defensive back at Purdue and Tennessee State after transferring from Mt. San Antonio. He then made multiple stops in the Arena Football League and Indoor Football League after college.
Ray Oliver — Blackmon’s uncle and a former Cincinnati Bengals coach — turned Blackmon onto coaching. Blackmon’s first coaching gig was with defensive backs at Augustana University in 2012. Since then, he has coached in high school, junior college and the IFL. In addition to coaching defensive backs, he has also been a defensive coordinator, offensive coordinator, and wide receivers coach throughout his short career.
Anthony went to Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf Ia - so hopefully he will help with recruiting in he Quad City area and the state of Iowa.ST_Lawson wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 9:11 am Nothing official has come out, but I'll go ahead and post it since it's getting a bit of traction on twitter.
It looks like Tom Anthony (https://twitter.com/CoachTomAnthony) will be our new DC. Here's his bio from his last job as DC at Texas Southern: https://tsusports.com/staff.aspx?staff=157
I don't know where "home" is for him, but he played at and started his coaching career at Augustana College in Rock Island then went to the University of St. Francis in Joliet. He also played in the Arena League with a few teams, including the QC Steamwheelers, so he's pretty familiar with the region. Coach Anthony's name is showing up in recruiting tweets, so it looks like he's already hard at work.
Our DB's coach looks like it'll be Brandon Blackmon (https://twitter.com/coachbblackmon) who comes to us from Arizona State (I'm guessing on recommendation by Charlie Fisher).
Here's some info about him: https://arizonastate.rivals.com/news/bl ... ball-coach

Maybe getting a local guy he’ll stick around for more than 1 year if the defense is any goodmeganeck wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 5:15 pmAnthony went to Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf Ia - so hopefully he will help with recruiting in he Quad City area and the state of Iowa.ST_Lawson wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 9:11 am Nothing official has come out, but I'll go ahead and post it since it's getting a bit of traction on twitter.
