#10 Brandon Gaston had quite a few Personal Fouls called against him.

The Offense really sputtered early. The D got 3 and outs on at least the first 3 possessions. They did put it together in the second half. The OL still looks shakey at times. Hopefully they keep improving through the summer and Fall Camp. Connor is the real deal. He has every throw in his arsenal. Ratkovich sat due to some small bumps and bruises. Nothing to be concerned about, but why even put him out there. The offense still has a lot of weapons that aren't on campus yet.

My son did pretty good. This was his first "game" since Aug 2017, he tore his ACL in the 3rd game of his SR season. So I was a little anxious for him. His first series you could see him shaking off the rust. In his second series, he made a TFL -2.5 on a 4th and 2. He finshed with 2 sacks, 2 TFLs and 4.5 tackles. Coach Haneline told me this morning that he thinks he's going to add a half sack to that after he watches the 2nd half film. So Tristan was pretty excited after the game to say the least :)

Awesome. Great to hear he did well. Can't wait to see him on the field this fall.

I agree the offense got off to a terrible start. However, once they committed to the run everything opened up for them. The much worried about offensive line started to make holes and the running backs ran extremely hard north to south, rather than east to west. I think also the adrenaline pumping through the Quarterback had some thing to do with it. In a spring where defense had been dominating the practice it was great to see the offense assert itself. I thought a lot of the freshman played very well in this game on both sides of the ball. I also loved the energy with which both sides played, running on and off the field and the up tempo in which it was played was great. These kids all really showed great effort throughout the whole game. I enjoyed the weekend seeing the parents, alumni, players, and new recruits was very enjoyable.

Cole Tandy and Nick D’Ambra had great games on D, and I liked how Deshon Gavin ran the ball. I’m excited for our class Todd, I think we have some gamers there!

The website says Gavin was recruited as a DB, has that now changed?
