It's good to be reminded every now and then that, despite the team's lack of digits in the win column and the problems on the field, we've got some outstanding young men that suit up in purple and gold (or white) every weekend. Like the old NCAA commercial says, there's more than 370,000 student athletes in the NCAA and 99% of them will go pro in something other than sports.

A bit more about Mr. Rehfeld. He is now a finalist for the Doris Robinson Scholar-Athete Award. There are 13 players who are nominated, one from each FCS conference, and Tom Rehfeld is the player from the MVFC.
Named after the late school teacher and wife of legendary coach Grambling State coach Eddie Robinson, the fifth annual award is presented to an FCS student-athlete who excels not only in the classroom, but in the community and beyond.
