That was my hope, but wasn't sure on him getting a waiver or exactly where he was NCAA 5 year clock, since he started in 2015 at Western Kentucky. Figured they held him out all last year to help his cause of getting 1 back.

Yeah, that 247Sports link looks to be suspect (or not updated). The recruiting sites don't pay a ton of attention to the FCS. For example, South Dakota isn't even on that list (they're apparently still categorized as being in the Great West conference), but I know they got one of the top recruits of the conference with a kid who had a bunch of FBS offers and had committed (then decommitted) from South Florida. Last summer the kid had offers from Nebraska, Ole Miss, Florida, Maryland, West Virginia, Florida State, etc.

He was going to sign with East Carolina University in early 2019, but they brought in a new staff and pulled his offer before the spring signing period in 2019. Ended up committing to Navy, but he decided after last season that it wasn't for him. He's committed to transfer to Western, has 4 years of eligibility, and should be able to play right away this next season.
