His bio says: "on dec 10 2019; SCSU dropped their football program. so now I am an Oline coach with 27 years of coaching exp looking for a new job. excited for what is next"
SCSU is St. Cloud State University (DII in St. Cloud, MN) that recently decided to eliminate their football program.

Here's more info about him: https://scsuhuskies.com/sports/football ... terson/971
Anybody know what is going on with him - I see a couple coaches follow him, but otherwise no mention of WIU. I don't see those retweets anymore so don't know if he deleted or what is going on.

Jonathan Minnis has been hired as the Director of Strength and Conditioning
Most recently, he was a S&C coach at Weber State and prior to that, was an assistant S&C Coach at Bryant University. However, this is more of a "return home" for Coach Minnis, having been a grad assistant S&C coach here, while getting a masters in kinesiology. He got his bachelors from Culver-Stockton College (Canton, MO) and is originally from Morning Sun, IA.

Here's his bio from Weber State's site: https://weberstatesports.com/staff-dire ... minnis/255

He told the Boys when he left, that WIU was where he wanted to be, and no matter where he was when he hit the chance he would be back. Man of his word. The players are over the moon excited to have him back!

Good to hear. I noticed he's been getting a lot of shoutouts on twitter from people happy to see him come back home. He helped out with Weber State's football S&C last year when they went 11-4 overall and 2-1 in the FCS playoffs.

Jacques Washington is our new CB coach: https://twitter.com/coachjacq

He played at Iowa State from 2009-2013, was an assistant coach at Owasso HS (OK) where he's from, then defensive quality control at Iowa State, and the last 2 years has been on staff at UCLA (not sure what his position there was).

oh awesome, thanks for letting me know.

Scott (or anybody else I guess). Any idea where we stand on assistant coaches. I'm assuming we still have some more to hire.

We might be done, depending on how duties were shifted around internally.
Open positions (based on what the previous coach was listed as doing) were: DC/OLB, DB, D Run Game/ILB, Co-OC/O-Line
Cam Clark is now DC and Safeties
Jacques Washington is CBs
Doug Patterson is O-Line
So, it looks like there might be a need for someone else on the LB's, but as I said, they might be shifting around some duties to make it work with those guys.
