If all FCS conferences cancel their seasons, maybe we play an all FCS Illinois schedule and see if both D2 schools (Quincy/McKendree) want to join since they're already cancelled. Only 6 teams, so 5 games, but maybe play every other week for testing purposes and setup some end of year 4 team championship tournament (would hope it would be the 4 FCS teams).

Would eliminate flights and travelling to other states. Would be cooler if it included the 3 FBS teams instead of the D2, but they're more likely to have seasons at this point.

I just really want some WIU football, but understand health and safety is more important. If it has to be spring, I'll take that over nothing.
I've heard a rumor that NIU will not be playing fall football regardless of what the MAC decides. Just a rumor at this point.

Also, here's more info about the FCS situation: https://www.espn.com/college-football/s ... mes-spring

The Missouri Valley Football Conference is set to cancel their 2020 football season and attempt to move it to the spring of 2021.

The MVFC will give its members the option to play previously scheduled fall non-conference games,

In that case, we technically still have two games on our schedule:
North Alabama is in the Big South, which has at this point, not cancelled their season.
Oklahoma State is in the Big 12, which will be playing a conference-only + 1 OOC game schedule this year (as of today). They will likely keep their game against semi-rival Tulsa, and cancel their game against us, but that's not 100% certain yet.

North Dakota State expects to be playing its non-conference games this fall.

The Bison have some non-conference opponents in the works with dates of those contests to be announced next week.

This was in response to maybe having local teams play each other, but it has been confirmed now. The MAC as a whole will not be having fall sports this year.

So, we are still technically on for the game against UNA, but the game with Oklahoma State was cancelled (or postponed, depending on the agreement) as is the game with Eastern Washington (they were one of the first to completely postpone their season). Is it worth it to practice and get all ready for just one game?

Here's what the rest of the conference is doing currently...
