Geez...watching the game and you have a chance to gain momentum in the 3rd quarter and you have a fumble on the center/qb exchange when you are on the 1 yd line. Total buzzkill after a great drive. There seem to be quite a few of those center/qb exchange fumbles this year.

I'm glad we'll have Novell for two more years, but man if he doesn't miss some throws

Just curious what you like from Norvell? He misses too many throws (especially on deep balls), is not a threat to run, throws into coverage, locks on receivers and doesn't look off defenders. In my view he is not the QB to take Western where they need to go.
Just following on Twitter and listening, it is a typical WIU game so far, poor QB play, poor special teams play and silly mistakes. I am disappointed the coaching staff has not cleaned up these problems.

So Neilson has the Honor of coaching the worst team in the League.
This is truely painful.

I agree one his negatives and wish he would make better desicions and hit those key passes, but...... He's the best we've had since Barr and even Matt and Lafalse made some poor desicions in their early years.
I just think/hope he'll improve and by next year and and the following he lance and joey will be on key.

In all honesty....Baker had 13 carries.
When your QB can't hit the broad side of a barn, and your receivers drop the balls that are on point...why in the hell does your #1 back only have 13 carries?
We have to find a way to get him in open field...we have seen what he does in open field, he had 2 20+ yard plays tonight with only 18 total touches.
