Yes, as of last I heard, we are still playing Colorado State in 2019. The schedules in the first post here are as up to date as I can find (and if they'd cancelled, I probably would have heard about it).

For 2019 it says something about "should be a 12 game season". Is FCS going to 12 game seasons?

There are occasional 12 game seasons. It is dependent on the calendar.

In years when the period starting with the Thursday before Labor Day and ending with the final Saturday in November contains 14 Saturdays, FCS programs may play 12 games instead of the regular 11.

The next season in which 12-game seasons are allowed will be 2019.

The last 12-game season was in 2014 when Western finished the year with a 5-7 record. Western played both Wisconsin and Northwestern that year.

THAT would have been awesome. Love to see something like that again!

Yup, it was pretty neat. Got to play two Big 10 opponents in one year, and for myself personally, I was able to travel to Northwestern to see that game. The last couple of times, 2013 and 2014, we tried to pair up two FBS games with two winnable games, so we'd end up going 2-2 in the OOC games, which is fine if we do ok in-conference.
So in 2014 it was Wisconsin and Northwestern + Valparaiso and Drake (both non-scholarship Pioneer League FCS).
And in 2013 it was Minnesota and UNLV + Hampton (FCS) and Quincy (DII)
Two FBS games means two FBS paychecks...which helps boost the budget quite a bit.

2019 we are playing at North Alabama (newly FCS) and at Colorado State (FBS, Mountain West). We will likely have a home game against Tennessee Tech at some point in the next few years, so we could have that. Otherwise they probably either want a second FBS game (for the $) or another OOC home game (so we can have 6 home games that season). I think either would be fine to me, personally.

Would really like to see an additional one in 2021. Ball State is a fine FBS school (though down recently, they've had some very good teams), but does not quite have the panache of an Oklahoma State- or Colorado State-type opponent.

Oklahoma State is a great place. Boone Pickens $$$ have really enhanced facilities. Cowboy fans are some of the best. They will invite you to their tailgates and they serve great Southwestern/TexMex food. You want to see if you can get inside Gallagher Iba Arena one of the iconic basketball arenas in the country.

Ft. Collins, CO in the Fall would be a cool place to visit also. Anyone coming to UNI let me know. I live a mile from the UNI-Dome

Indiana State just announced their schedule, which means that I have enough info to extrapolate the rest of the likely MVFC schedule.
The ones that are not technically confirmed yet, but are likely given who else is playing when and where are listed as "probably".
I updated the schedule in the first post of this thread, but I'll put it here too for easy reference:

2018
(included likely game dates and whatever games we are aware of)
8/30 (Thursday) - at Montana State (Big Sky)
9/8 - at Illinois (FBS, Big 10)
9/15 - vs Montana (Big Sky)
9/22 - probably bye week
9/29 - probably vs Youngstown State (Homecoming)
10/6 - at Illinois State
10/13 - vs North Dakota State
10/20 - probably at Missouri State
10/27 - probably Northern Iowa
11/3 - probably at Southern Illinois
11/10 - at South Dakota
11/17 - vs Indiana State

Do not play - South Dakota State

So, we don't have a home game until 9/15, but at least that's a bit sooner than it was this year. We also have a home game on 9/29 (homecoming), 10/13, 10/27, and 11/17 (weekend before Thanksgiving). Home games are Montana, Youngstown State, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, and Indiana State.

Our away games are Montana State, Illinois, Illinois State, Missouri State, Southern Illinois and South Dakota.
For the members of our Leatherneck family in the KC region, the game at Missouri State will likely be 10/20/2018.

Personally, I'll probably get down to the Illinois and the Illinois State games in addition to all the home games. SIU and MSU are just a bit too far away for me at this point in my life.
