Western wins 99-36.

Four Leathernecks scored in double digits: Kobe Webster had 22 points. Zion Young had 17. James Claar had 12. Isaac Johnson had 11.

The most significant story of the game: Jeremiah Usiosefe was hit in the face and left the game. He was undergoing Injury Protocol behind the bench.

Attendance at Western Hall = 269.

The team will play Iowa Wesleyan in the second game of a Women / Men Double-header on Thursday (Nov. 1). The Women's game vs William Jewell starts at 5:30 PM.

So did anyone actually attend this "tune-up?" I have taken a look at other first games of the year and this seems to be the first time in a long time that we actually have two games before we face major foe Creighton! How good is Knox? How good is WIU? ;) jc

I was there for the 1st half and it was hard to take much away from the game cause Knox is so bad my biggest concerns are still the bench Claar looked really good but Knox tallest guy was 6-6 on a good day. Really impressed with
Zion Young saw some good things from Pyle but I don’t redshirting him would be a bad idea he needs to add some strength.

Knox Prairie Fire school colors are also Purple and Gold. Inquiring minds want to know if they were also Purple and Gold back when they were known as the "Old Siwash". The nickname change occured back in 1993.

After further review, I think the answer is yes.

Embrace the pace of the race.

So it should be no surprise that a D1-team of any calibre would easily defeat a poor D3 team given they offer zero scholarships, travel day of game, etc.
