The girl doing the color on the broadcast was a stunner...wow!
I did not stick around for the interviews. Was it Kelly Stewart? She played ball for USD.

Typically the USD announcer is pretty good and not much of a homer but he was being a time homer tonight so i turned it off as soon as it was over and listened to the radio interview.

Yes I believe that is who it was... I wondered if she wasn't a former USD player.

Yeah the play-by-play guy was a homer, they interviewed Wright and Kobe after the game, which surprised me.

Western wins 65-59.

Ben Pyle led the Western scoring with 15 points. Kobe Webster had 13. C.J. Duff had 11. Brandon Gilbeck had 10.

Attendance at South Dakota = 2,702.

Second-half scoring drought dooms South Dakota men against Western Illinois.

Next game will be at Western Hall on Thursday (Jan 31) vs North Dakota. Game time is 7PM.

The real season starts now and the goal becomes setting yourself up for the tournament run. Ideally, you are playing your best ball when you get there. I think we could move up to a 4 slot, maybe even 3. The schedule is very favorable as we play most of the teams ahead of us in the standings AT HOME. The $64K question is can we get the fans to come out and muster some semblance of a home court advantage.
