75-66 Win.
Good effort tonight from a couple of guys off the bench (Johnson and Hughes).
I still think we should be playing twin towers every now and then, depending on the situation. For example, when an offensive rebound might be a good thing to have.

So as many of you know I have complained about the officiating on this board many times in my 10 years around WIU this year has been the worst. But I wanted to complement the crew last night that was in the top 5 of best games I’ve seen officiated at western. I only really saw either coach say anything a couple times.

Overall, I have been mostly impressed with the officiating most of the season. It is nice to see what Gilbeck can do defensively when he can actually play more than 12 minutes a game due to his previous 3 seasons every time he looked at someone a foul got called.

Well I was surprised to see the men's team won yesterday. Makes those 2 home losses to the North Dakota schools really hurt.

This weekend was the "Alumni Pep Band" event. I think everyone had a great time, especially with getting to see the men's team win. Hopefully we sounded pretty good.

Massey Projected Standings
1 Omaha 14-2 *
2 South Dakota State 14-2 *
3 Purdue Fort Wayne 11-5
4 North Dakota State 8-8
5 South Dakota 7-9
6 Oral Roberts 6-10
7 North Dakota 5-11
8 Western Illinois 4-12 **
Denver 3-13 **

* Omaha wins tiebreaker because they split with SDSU and swept PFW while SDSU only split with PFW.

** The only way we do not get in to tournament is by losing our 2 remaining games (one is against Denver and
Massey says we are the underdog in it) and
Denver winning their final game at home against Omaha and assuming we do not fare too well against the
Jacks on Daum's et al Senior Day. Might be a good idea to remove all drama by "upsetting" Denver on Thursday night.
