Finally we have had them beaten in the SLT so many times and blown it. That last 2 seconds took forever that ball was in the air so long

A Sioux Falls Shocker!

Western wins 79-76. The first #8 to win in the history of the tournament.

Five Western players in double-figures: Kobe Webster and Ben Pyle each had 17. Brandon Gilbeck, Isaac Johnson, and Zion Young each had 13.

Keshon Montague only had 2 points. But those were the 2 free throws that gave Western a three-point lead with 10 seconds left in the game. South Dakota State's three-point attempt with 2 seconds left was no good.

Western had the lead for 39:25.

Western out-rebounded South Dakota State 43-38.

Western will play the winner of tomorrow night's #5 Oral Roberts vs #4 North Dakota State game. Western's next game will be Monday at 6PM in the semi-finals.

Cue the Fight Song!

UMBC's Athletics Twitter account with the "cheers to you". UMBC was the first #16 seed to knock off a #1 seed in last year's NCAA tournament.

I am happy for the team and this win because they played well! Hats off to CJ Duff. It will not show up in the stats, but he does a hell of a job on defense. Flatten who was on fire last week when we played them was a non-factor tonight.

I was at the Granite City Brewery and was stoked to see #4 Bradley knock off #1Loyola.

Meanwhile this sh*t was going down in Sioux Falls. Holy crap.
