Stay close Necks! The Bison will cool off and you will heat up. If not, well that's the way it goes sometimes!

Hopefully we can use how we played the last 2 games as momentum going into the offseason really we need to find a good big for next year and we can be pretty good for next year.

North Dakota State won the game 76-73. Western finishes the season with a 10-21 record.

Kobe Webster led the Western scoring with 24 points. Ben Pyle had 14. Brandon Gilbeck had 11.

North Dakota State was 14 for 26 on three-point attempts while Western was 7 for 16.

Western out-rebounded North Dakota State 33-26.

The shooting percentages were very similar. North Dakota State was 27 for 54 (50%). Western was 27 for 56 (48%). The big difference was North Dakota State making 7 more three-pointers.

Never ever gave up on the game plan which kept them in the game and gave them the chance to tie or win the game. A major step forward as far as I am concerned. Billy is not going anywhere for a while. ;) jc

I feel so bad for the boys. Kobe was visibly upset before he even left the floor. This group has grown tremendously in the last 2 games. You know a week ago they would have folded under pressure against SDSU, and tonight when getting down by so many. They fought to the last second. All season long I thought they lacked a mental toughness, but they definitely proved me wrong this weekend. This team could have easily won 5-6 more games this season, but I feel they did not "know" how to win. I believe that will change next season, and hopefully good things will come for the men's and women's teams next season!
