They are not headed toward extinction but after Wednesday, future observances of the Mastodons inside Western Hall will be extremely rare.
I will be there taking notes and capturing the ambience of it all. Look for a guy in a blue Yacht Club Isla Mujeres long sleeve shirt.
Sorry, they did not have one in purple. ;)

BTW, the necks are ranked 341 out of 350 in team scoring defense. To say there is room for improvement would be an understatement.

We need to come out of the gate shooting very hot. So hot that we would melt all of the ice in the minus 18 degree Ice Bar in Isla Mujeres.

WIU has played very well at home against the Dons the last several years.

We need to be leaving the Summit League as well. The only school east of the Mississippi is not something we should want.

Horizon league would give us common foes with our past, plus really cut down on travel costs.

Cleveland State,
Detroit
Wisconsin-Green Bay
IUPUI
Northern Kentucky
Oakland
Illinois-Chicago
Wright State
Youngstown State

IPFW made it 10
WIU should push to be #11
gain a #12 , perhaps the WI school who wants to jump to D1??

If we were #11, there would 10 Directors of Basketball Operations pulling their hair out trying to figure out travel arrangements to Macomb. We are not a good fit. Every Horizon team is located in a fairly large metro area.

Are these guys coached to not try and rebound? Rarely anyone following a shot on offense or trying for an offensive rebound. I get this can lead to more fouls, but we need all the offense possible.

Would make sense if they were getting back on defense and stopping people, but they're not. Might as well put in more effort getting second chance shots. Everyone else does it against us.

Very similar to our football team not pressing the corners on defense to limit the big plays, but giving up huge chunks with 10 yard cushions and then still giving up big plays and losing.

Your game plan isnt working Billy, let's try a game going all out on the boards and see what happens. Maybe we lose by 30, but something has to change cause this same shit is not working.
