Western beats Denver 87-62. Western is now 12-4. 2-1 in the Summit.

Taylor Higginbotham led the Western scoring with 28 points. Morgan Blumer had 25. Emily Clemens had 11.

Western was 8 for 28 on three-point attempts.

Western out-rebounded Denver 55-28.

Attendance at Western Hall = 494.

Western will play Oral Roberts on Saturday (Jan 7) in a Men's / Women's Double-header. Men play first at 2PM. It will be "Youth Basketball Day" at both games, sponsored by Burlington Trailways.

JD is truly blessed this year. He has a bevy of good shooters all capable of going off for about 25 or 30 points on any given night. He is also blessed in another way. His gals look like they actually like to play defense and scrap after the ball as well. For a coach, it does not get much better than that. Well, maybe having an athletic 6'4" "Chairwoman of the Boards" type player, but that does not happen often, even for the majors.
