I am staying at the Denver team hotel. The only scouting report I can offer is that they ate better than I did for breakfast (catered buffet vs Oatmeal). Well, maybe not. Like Bill Marriott, I am firm believer in oatmeal before a long day of work or working out. You can skip lunch and not miss a beat.

Also from the who gives a sh** category, I got in a workout and soak in the hotel hot tub this morning. About four years ago, someone from Denver put a very small Denver sticker on the window close to the hot tub. It is still there but the letters are all faded now and you cant recognize it. Could just as well say "Go Leathernecks".

Embrace the pace of the race.
I haven't seen the band yet, been listening to the radio for about half of it and half watching on TV. I can hear them though. They left Macomb yesterday evening and drove through most of the night.

Great win for the women... by 43 points....damn.
Great way to shake off any first game jitters....even with a couple of players not having their best games.
Now they get a day off and will play the winner of USD and Omaha on Monday (coyotes and mavs play tomorrow at noon).

Western wins 82-39!
Western will now play the winner of tomorrow's South Dakota vs Omaha game. That game will be Monday at 12 Noon.
Emily Clemens led the Western scoring with 17 points. Morgan Blumer had 15. Taylor Hanneman had 11. Olivia Braun and Mallory Boyle each had 10.
Western was 15 for 36 on three-pointers.
I am waiting to hear Seal Hall's assessment of the game.
