Northern Illinois outscored Western by 11 in the 4th qr to win the game 96-94.

Morgan Blumer led the Western scoring with 31 points. Emily Clemens had 21. Taylor Higginbotham had 13.

Attendance at NIU = 550.

What a thrilling finish to that game.

NIU getting a little payback for last year's close loss in Macomb where Western outscored NIU by 5 in the 4th to win by 4.

Looks like the Lady 'Necks picked up right where they left off last season. Good luck the rest of the way and hopefully there will be NCAA bids for both of these teams. Maybe they'll even meet again in the Big Dance.

Just looked at the link. Half time, 38-31 U of I. Talk about low attendance at events, I bet there's not a 100 people there.
