Elementary school day in Western Hall against Missouri Baptist. Is this just a Macomb thing or do we import kids from around the area?

Just Macomb. Public schools up through 5th grade and St. Paul Catholic School.

Last year's game set the program single game attendance record for the women.

EDIT - I think they said over 1400 here today. I'll need to go check last year's numbers when I get back to my office later to see how it compares.

Either way, a lot better than the ~100 that would normally be here on a day game during a break.

VIT Elementary was also at today's game. They were the large group sitting behind the west basket.

Western won the game 90-69.

Danni Nichols led the Western scoring with 21 points. Grace Gilmore had 13. Annabel Graettinger had 11.

Evan Zars had 11 rebounds.

Attendance at Western Hall = 1,624.

Our previous Elementary School Day was on November 24, 2015, vs Southeast Missouri State. Attendance for that game was 1,246. SEMO won that game 89-84.

Next game will be at Illinois State on December 4. Game time is 6:00 PM.

IIRC, I witnessed a game in Western Hall with 7K+ fans, mostly students, there.
Update: According to Record Book, largest home crowd attendance was 8,003 ..1980-81 vs. Eastern Illinois. I think I was there, first row of seats at east end behind the buicket. Face painted purple. We had that "Ol' Jack Magic" going on that night. Fun to watch.

It's not a lie, they just forgot to put the "for a women's basketball game" in there. Previous record was 1,596 for a game against South Dakota on 2/25/17.
